Wavemaker UK came into 2023 on a high, leading the new business league table and earning over 100 award nominations. Despite these achievements, we worried about the unexpected pace of our success and the fear of growing unsustainably, and the effect that could have on our people, our clients and our work.

To address these challenges, we focused on developing our people, hiring 100+ new employees, integrating them into our culture through a lean in leadership approach and an obsession with our craft, as well as investing in training across the agency, shining a light on our specialist teams and celebrating diversity at every level. We focused on creating unrivalled work, working closely with our partners to create award-winning campaigns which have a genuinely positive impact. And finally, we focused on our clients, helping them tackle industry challenges head-on whether that be navigating a post-cookie world, advertising effectiveness or proving that environmental responsibility can co-exist with client success. We’re going from strength to strength, and are proud to have maintained a momentum that’s seen us deliver two years of consecutive growth, underscored by high client satisfaction scores, coupled with improved employee happiness and an over 40% increase in award wins for our unrivalled work.
