The Pride of Britain Awards

Reach

Very few media brands are responsible for changing lives, highlighting causes and celebrating communities in a way that casts a lasting legacy. And even fewer were born from the spark of an idea to celebrate ordinary people who do extra- ordinary things. The Pride of Britain Awards started as an event and has evolved into a much admired media brand that continues to turn the tables on a celebrity obsessed culture to give back to the people who make our country great. This year is our 25th birthday and since 1999 we have given out 397 awards, welcomed over 20,000 guests, helped to raise millions for charity and inspired the public to send in more than 750,000 nominations.

Our storytelling has helped to bring the Post Office scandal to light, highlighted the unique contribution of the Windrush generation, honoured the spirit of the people of Ukraine and introduced our audience to the heroes behind the Organ Donor Register, the Covid vaccine amongst so many others. We have welcomed the Royal family, every serving Prime Minister, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and celebrities, but the stars are always the winners themselves, with the televised event highlighting their stories and charities to an ITV prime-time audience of millions. In our silver anniversary year we’ve taken things up another notch with the launch of £100,000 from The Pride of Britain Fund, to supercharge the work of local heroes across the country, brand new podcasts, and a Pride of Britain Windrush special on ITV.
