Digital Cinema Media (DCM) and Picturehouse Cinemas

Picturehouse Cinemas have held their place on British high streets for 24 years as the country’s most established boutique exhibitor. With the forced closures during COVID giving Picturehouse a slim chance of survival, we had to take drastic action to reignite the dedicated fanbase.

Picturehouse and DCM immediately set to work on building the brand back up in a new light. This particularly focused on the communities that Picturehouse serves with its significantly diverse content offering. We needed audiences to remember why they turned to Picturehouse for entertainment.

Initiatives were launched across the UK to make cinema more accessible and more inclusive. This in turn took DCM’s partnership with Picturehouse to new levels, with brands lining up to join the team. From immersive events to on-screen opportunities, these DCM-fueled partnerships gave brands access to a host of new audiences.

We were in no doubt that Picturehouse Cinemas were back in business when we saw the results of our combined efforts. With an 80% rise in admissions year on year, and brand awareness simultaneously rising, the future is looking bright for the boutique brand.
