Emerging from the villainous backdrop of the pandemic, NHSBT faced slashed budgets and blood stock shortages. Lives were at risk without more people donating blood. To show the nation you don’t need superpowers to make the world better, we used superhero messengers. Working with Marvel, the superstars of Dr Strange urged prospective donors to sign up to donate blood and save lives. With just two weeks and £96k, we supercharged this content across cinemas and superhero-related social environments and communities. And the campaign delivered a superhero-worthy 30% uplift in registrations in the first ten days – a mighty effort!
