Clare Chapman is CEO at EssenceMediacomX, responsible for growing the business through exceptional client service and delivery, combining creativity and data-driven excellence. Chapman returned to EssenceMediacomX in November 2023 after two years as CEO for Carat UK, having previously worked at Essence for four years as EVP, Head of Media. —-- As EVP, Head of Media, Clare Chapman oversees Essence's activation and planning teams across the region, responsible for expanding best practices and products whilst working closely with brands including BT, L'Oreal, Google, the Financial Times, Peloton, and Nandos. Clare joined Essence in 2018 with two decades of experience in media and marketing spanning leadership roles in media buying, client services, and planning. Throughout her career, Clare has helped clients drive innovation and marketing effectiveness across a diverse range of industries, including news and entertainment, energy, transportation, CPG, publishing, wines and spirits, and beauty. Prior to Essence, Clare served as Managing Partner and Head of Planning at Maxus and spent more than seven years in account leadership roles as Client Director for Havas in the UK and as Group Account Director for MPG. Now based in London, Clare first began her career in Manchester working as a media buyer across print and radio in roles Universal and MediaVest. Clare studied at the University of Leeds where she earned a BSc Hons in Psychology and the History & Philosophy of Science.
